Commission Work

David Michael Lee is a Southern California–based artist whose work centers on geometric abstraction, with the cuboid serving as a recurring form. His paintings explore time, space, and organization through restrained geometry, balancing precision with subtle imperfection. Drawn to the beauty of the everyday, Lee’s work invites viewers to slow down and discover quiet complexity within familiar forms. 

The paintings are created using acrylic and plaster on furniture-grade plywood and are finished with a cold wax, resulting in a durable, soft matte surface. Works are available in standard sizes ranging from:

48 × 32 inches down to 16 × 12 inches

For commissioned or direct acquisitions, Lee offers flexibility in color palette to accommodate specific spatial or design needs while maintaining the integrity of the work. Pricing follows a traditional gallery model, when acquired directly from the artist. Designers working with Lee receive a 50% commission, and all sales documentation reflects the original retail price of the artwork.

A 10% down payment is required to initiate a commission, with the remaining balance due on of delivery. The average turn around time for work is 15 to 30 days.
